Some of the fantasies men share with me are tender. Some are darker: dirty talk, humiliation, being used, being degraded. Many men have never dared to say these out loud. I want you to know that they can be lived, beautifully and safely, and the secret is ritual.
Why ritual matters
A ritual is a frame. It marks the beginning and the end of a space where different rules apply. Inside the frame we can play roles, say things we would never say in the street, and explore what excites us. Outside the frame, we are two people who respect each other deeply. The frame is what makes it safe to let go.
The rituals of respect and care
Every evening with me begins the same way: conversation, a drink, getting to know each other, talking about what you desire and what you do not. We agree on a word that stops everything instantly. These small rituals are not formalities. They are the foundation that holds everything else.
The rituals of play
Once the frame is in place, the play can begin: the words, the roles, the power, the humiliation if that is what you crave, in whichever direction we have agreed. Because we both know the frame is there, we can go further together than either of us could alone.
The rituals of return
Afterwards we come back, together. We slow down, we hold each other, we talk. This return matters as much as everything before it. It is how a dark fantasy becomes a beautiful memory.
Something to try
- Imagine your own opening ritual for a date: the music, the drink, the first words, the moment the game begins. Write it down and share it with me.
- Read: Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns by Philip Miller and Molly Devon. A warm, clear classic on consensual power play, trust and safe words.
- Ask yourself: what helps you come back gently afterwards? Talking, cuddling, silence, food, a shower together?
